A Perth network services provider is looking for a Junior Network Engineer to assist with connectivity support, monitoring and simple network changes. This onsite role is designed for someone with two years of IT or network support experience who understands core networking concepts and wants more hands-on exposure. You will work with senior engineers to investigate issues, collect logs, update documentation and support reliable connectivity for business users. The role requires attention to detail, a willingness to follow change procedures and the confidence to ask for guidance before making unfamiliar changes.

The role also requires consistent follow-through, careful note taking and a practical attitude toward learning new systems while supporting business users.Essential criteria:

• Two years of IT support or network support experience with exposure to business connectivity issues.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching, wireless and VPN concepts.
• Ability to investigate LAN, Wi-Fi, internet and remote access issues using a logical troubleshooting process.
• Experience collecting logs, screenshots, device details and user impact information for escalation.
• Ability to maintain network diagrams, site notes, port records and customer documentation.
• Commitment to following change-control procedures before applying network updates or replacements.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Meraki or similar network platforms.
• Introductory networking certification or current study toward one.
• Experience supporting multi-site customers or managed services environments.
