A Brisbane-based organisation is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain internal systems, support infrastructure requests and assist with operational improvements. This onsite role suits someone with four years of IT experience who can handle routine administration while escalating higher-risk changes appropriately. You will work across Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtualisation, backups, patching and user support escalations. The role is suited to someone dependable, security aware and comfortable balancing operational tasks with responsive support for business users and technology stakeholders. The role also suits someone who can balance careful troubleshooting, accurate documentation and consistent follow-through while supporting business users.

Essential criteria:

• Four years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support or escalated technical support roles.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, permissions, file services and virtualisation concepts.
• Ability to monitor system health, review backups, support patching activity and troubleshoot server-related issues.
• Experience managing user access, groups, shared resources and routine administrative changes under approval.
• Good documentation skills for technical procedures, change notes, environment details and support handovers.
• Ability to follow security, change-control and incident-management processes in a business environment.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Azure, VMware, Hyper-V, Veeam or disaster recovery testing.
• PowerShell skills for reporting, checks or repeatable administration.
• Experience supporting small projects, upgrades or infrastructure lifecycle activities.
