A Sydney technology services company is looking for Systems Administrators to support server platforms, user services and routine infrastructure operations. This hybrid role suits someone with three years of hands-on IT experience who can work across Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and standard operational checks. You will assist with escalated support, access changes, patching coordination, backup reviews and documentation for supported environments. The position requires a careful administrator who can follow approval processes, keep accurate records and communicate clearly with both users and technical team members. The role also suits someone who can balance careful troubleshooting, accurate documentation and consistent follow-through while supporting business users.

Essential criteria:

• Three years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, desktop support or escalated service desk work.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, file services, permissions and account administration.
• Ability to review monitoring alerts, backup results, patching outcomes and routine system health checks.
• Experience troubleshooting escalated user, desktop, application, server access and connectivity issues.
• Strong documentation habits for changes, technical notes, support handovers and environment details.
• Awareness of security, access-control and change-management expectations in business IT environments.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Azure, VMware, Hyper-V or backup and recovery testing.
• PowerShell skills for simple reporting, checks or repeatable administration tasks.
• Experience maintaining runbooks, diagrams or infrastructure documentation.
