A Sydney network services company is looking for a Network Support Engineer to assist with business connectivity, network troubleshooting and customer environment documentation. This onsite role is suitable for someone with four years of IT or network support experience who understands core networking concepts and wants to keep developing practical engineering skills. You will work with senior engineers to investigate incidents, collect evidence, support simple network changes and maintain accurate site information. The position requires a logical troubleshooting approach, clear communication with service teams and careful attention to change-control requirements before network updates are applied.

Essential criteria:

• Four years of IT support or network support experience involving business connectivity issues.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching, wireless, VPN and basic routing concepts.
• Ability to investigate LAN, Wi-Fi, internet, firewall and remote-access issues using a structured process.
• Experience collecting logs, screenshots, device details, configuration notes and user impact information.
• Ability to maintain network diagrams, port records, site notes and customer documentation.
• Commitment to following change-control, backup and approval procedures before making network updates.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Meraki or similar network platforms.
• Networking certification or current study toward one.
• Experience supporting multi-site businesses or managed services customers.
